Hey,
I’m Shyam Narayan. I’m a venture philanthropist based in India. I deploy patient capital and hands-on support to ambitious projects and initiatives solving critical and overlooked problems — particularly at the intersection of technology, cognition, and human potential. My work is personal: my own capital, my own networks, my own judgment. There is no firm, no team, and no branded entity. Success is measured by tangible outcomes — lives improved, systems changed, knowledge advanced — not by exits or optics.
My journey so far…
Living with hemophilia from birth taught me early that constraints can become catalysts. I built my first venture from the ground up, learning every aspect of creating impact at the founder level. After eventually closing that chapter, I chose a simpler, more direct path: operating entirely as myself. Today I continue independent interdisciplinary research, while focusing the majority of my time and resources on venture philanthropy. I back projects and ideas I deeply believe in — with capital, strategic support, introductions, and long-term partnership. If you’re solving a meaningful problem and want a partner who moves at founder speed, I’d love to hear from you.
